ABK AOTS – CDISSIA 5S Annual Award

"5S" Techniques play an important role in initiating Total Quality Management (TQM) Practices in an organization. The "5S" techniques, originally developed in Japanese industries, have now been very successfully adopted in many Indian organizations prior to implementation of TQM.



"5S" refers to Five Japanese words SEIRI, SEITON, SEISO, SEIKETSU & SHITSUKE. In English, they refer to SORTOUT, SET IN ORDER, SHINE, STANDARDIZE, & SUSTAIN.



ABK - AOTS DOSOKAI, Tamilnadu Centre in joint efforts with Chennai District Small Scale Industries Association (CDISSIA) from the year 2004 onwards announced the award for the Tiny Industries named ABK AOTS – CDISSIA 5S Award in which the Tiny Industries are very eagerly participating annually.
